From August 26 to 31 at the Bishkek Central Hippodrome the President’s Cup dedicated to the Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republiс will take place.
The program of the tournament includes kok boru, horse racing, er enish (horseback wrestling), salbuurun.
Sports events are held with the aim of:
• popularization and development of national sports;
• enhancing the image of national sports in the international arena;
• attracting the population to engage in national sports;
Competition Schedule:
From August 26 to 29, preliminary games of the Kok-Bor tournament will be held;
August 30 - match for third place of the President’s Cup of the Kyrgyz Republic in kok boru, competitions in the er of enish and salbuurun;
August 31 - final matches in kok bor, competitions in the er enish, salbuurun, horse racing.
Directorate of National Sports of the State Agency for Youth, Physical Culture and Sports under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic has allocated 3 million 697 thousand soms as prize.
