The ballet "Cholpon", written by the remarkable Russian composer Mikhail Rauchverger, is the most beloved work of the Kyrgyz audience. The performance was staged with great success on numerous stages of theaters in the USSR.

The creators of the ballet "Cholpon" were able to consistently identify the main theme in the performance - the theme of loyalty and love, which overcomes all kinds of obstacles. Ballet music is danceable, clear in rhythms and emotional in perception. Skillfully using folklore, the composer created very colorful musical images, vivid symphonic episodes.

The ballet "Cholpon", staged on the stage of the Kyrgyz Opera and Ballet Theater for over 60 years, is an indisputable success of the Kyrgyz choreographic art, and its history is the history of the growth of the professional skill of the theater and its ballet troupe.
