Almaluu is located on the south shore of the legendary Issyk-Kul lake, 4.5 km away from Bokonbaev village. Issyk-Kul lake is the second largest saline lake after the Caspian Sea and the second largest mountain lake after Titicaca lake. In kyrgyz language, “Issyk-Kul” means “warm lake”. Indeed, this magnificent lake surrounded by mountains never freeze during the winter. And it’s in this heavenly setting that you’ll experience kyrgyz culture and traditions!
