Almaluu is located on the south shore of the legendary Issyk-Kul lake, 4.5 km away from Bokonbaev village. Issyk-Kul lake is the second largest saline lake after the Caspian Sea and the second largest mountain lake after Titicaca lake. In kyrgyz language, “Issyk-Kul” means “warm lake”. Indeed, this magnificent lake surrounded by mountains never freeze during the winter. And it’s in this heavenly setting that you’ll experience kyrgyz culture and traditions!

4h30 from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan’s capital, you can come to Almaluu by “machuutka”, micro-buses, or by a shared taxi. We can also arranged transportation for you upon request from Bishkek or from the airport.
