Chong Kemin valley was created as a national park in Kyrgyzstan in 1997, which is located about 150 km to the east of Bishkek, the capital city of Kyrgyzstan. It is at an altitude of 2800 m above sea level. The Park is inhabited by a variety of rare animals and birds, trees and plants, listed in the Red Book of Kyrgyzstan: like, snow leopards, deer, bear, and Golden Eagle and etc. This makes the place really special and unique. It reminds a small oasis of wildlife and fir forests.

We will gather at the meeting point – the Tenti Office on 105/3 Isanov Street and start our journey at 8.00 am by driving to Chong Kemin Valley. We arrive at the park and have lunch at a guest house. Then, we will stretch our legs till the Karool Dobo (from Kyrgyz means “Watch Hill”). Then, continue to trail till Toru-Aigyr valley. Dinner and overnight in tents.
After breakfast we continue our trail to the Kol Kogur Lake (2500 m), which has a very unique trapezoidal shape and surrounded by beautiful landscapes, wooded terrain, and gentle slopes. It is one of the rare places where not many travelers reach, therefore the nature remains untouched. On the way, we will see some cattle-breeding settlements and a Jaeger house, and our eyes will enjoy the amazing wild nature. We will set up a camp, dinner, overnight along the lake shore.
Breakfast. Today we will trail about 15 km through pastures («jailoo» in Kyrgyz) of the valley, and see a variety of cattle walking around and completing the views. Find a place to set up a camp, dinner, overnight.
Today is the last day of our trekking. After breakfast we will trail to the Achyk-Tash jailoo, where we will meet our driver to transfer us to Tamchy village, the north shore of Issyk-Kul. We will learn about the village, and sunbathe on the shore of Issyk-Kul to rest and relax after a long trek. We will have dinner at a guesthouse, free time to explore the place.
Breakfast at the guesthouse, and drive to Bishkek. On the way, we will visit and explore the history of Burana Tower - the remnant of the ancient city Balasagun (9th-11th centuries), which was ransacked by the Mongols in 1218. The place is surrounded by petroglyphs – art and history our ancestors (or travelers) left. Hotel, free time.
