Due to nature of our work we meet a lot of guesthouse, homestay, and yurt camp owners throughout the country. Some of these people been in business for over 10 years, but still struggle to get enough guests to make ends meet, despite having comfortable and welcoming homes.  Many of the owners lack technical and language skills to create an online presence, as the leading cause of this problem. Therefore our project aims to help the guesthouses, yurt camps, and hostels, get their information out to their potential clients, through the Tenti website and by developing their own social media presences. We hope that through this project, guesthouse owners will be able to expand their knowledge and improve their businesses.
We have requests for volunteers from homestay/yurt camp owners from all over Kyrgyzstan so you can choose to volunteer anywhere in the country. This project is a great way to pick up a new language and experience Kyrgyz culture.

Volunteer Requirements:

We are looking for outgoing individuals who will be willing to live at guesthouses, compile information about their pricing and services, and write in-depth descriptions about what someone who is planning to stay there can expect. Strong English skills are a must but you do not need to speak Russian or Kyrgyz for this project. We will partner you with a local counterpart to help you gather information that is correct. Ideally, anyone joining this project would also have some experience in social media marketing as well. All volunteers for Tenti's  project must be at least 18 years old. If this sounds like you, send us an email to contact@tenti.kg

Room and board will be provided during your time volunteering with us. In exchange, you will be required to help your hosts and other homestays, guesthouses, and yurt camps in the vicinity to compile profiles in English, teach them basic English and enjoy the heck out of living in the most picturesque places in all of the country.
