"Hygge (pronounced hue-guh not hoo-gah) is a Danish word that acknowledges the feeling or moment, whether alone or with friends, at home or out, ordinary or extraordinary, as cozy, charming, and special."Here at Tenti, we have been obsessed with the concept of hygge which consequently, has made us want to learn "how to" properly hygge. Armed with a quote from Confucius (I hear and I forget, I see and I remember, I do and I ), and a book on hygge by Meik Wiking (The Little Book of Hygge: Danish Secrets to Happy Living), we created a weekend getaway to Chong Kemin, “In Search of Hygge.” Just a short drive from Bishkek, our partner guesthouse in Kemin National Park provides the perfect hygge atmosphere. Leave Bishkek in the afternoon and arrive at the guesthouse just in time for a delicious and hearty meal that will be sure to keep you warm during our cold Kyrgyz nights. After dinner, snuggle up to watch a movie in the common area with some gluwine or hot cocoa and then tuck in for the evening. On Saturday, you'll have the chance to experience the beauty of the valley with a variety of optional activities. After dinner we'll gather together outside for smore's and hot drinks in front of a roaring bonfire. Sleep late on Sunday and then tuck into a hearty brunch before returning to Bishkek.

BRIEF ITINERARY
- Day 1
  
  Depart Bishkek
  
  Meet your group at Chicken Star at 5pm, where you will depart for Kemin National Park in one of Tenti's comfort vehicles. You'll arrive at the guesthouse and have a chance to unpack and get settled. Rejoin the group for a hearty dinner of homemade comfort food and good conversation. After dinner relax with some board games, cards, or a good movie in the cozy common room.
- Day 2
  
  Free day in Chong Kemin
  
  Take advantage of your free day to explore Kemin Valley. The facility offers a variety of exciting activities so you can experience the beauty of the area. Strap on some snowshoes, hop on a horse, or just cuddle up with a good book in the common room. In the evening, relax by roaring bonfire with smore's, gluwine, and hot chocolate courtesy of the Tenti crew.

  Return to Bishkek
  
  Take this late morning to sleep in before returning to the hustle and bustle of Bishkek. We'll conclude our weekend Hygge get-a-way with a hearty champagne brunch.
