Ask any Kyrgyz person where you should go to truly experience Kyrgyzstan and they're sure to answer Naryn. They describe this region with one word: Nurkura. In English, it means tradition or traditional. The Naryn region is where the air is cleaner, the water is purer, and the kymyz tastes the best. It's here, where you will still see people living nomadically, tending to their livestock high in the Ala-Too Mountains. Come with Tenti to experience the traditional lifestyle of the Kyrgyz people.

We'll leave Bishkek in the morning for our first destination, Burana Tower. The Tower is a UNESCO world heritage site and one of Kyrgyzstan's top destinations. In addition to the minaret, the site also , has three mausoleums - for the officials of the ancient city of Balasagun, a small field with petrogylphs and gravestones recovered from various sites around the country, and a small museum with earthenware pottery and other items found during the archaeological dig at Burana. Make sure you climb to the top of the tower for amazing views of the valley! Our next stop on the way to Song-Kol will be Eolian Castles. “Eolian” means God of the Winds which is evidenced by the beautiful sandstone rock formations, created by thousand upon thousands of years of wind erosion. Take a short hike through the windswept canyon and arrive in the valley where you can see a multitude of both natural and man-made figures. Climb to the top of the hill for an amazing view. Hike back to the car and depart for Song-Kol lake. Upon your arrival get settled into your yurt, then join the rest of your group for a traditional dinner in the dining yurt. Spend the rest of the evening relaxing.
Spend a free day relaxing on the shores of Song-kol. Read a book on the beach or take a walk along the lake. There's a variety of activities to choose from to make your time here truly special. For a unique experience, ask your booking expert about adding a horse games demonstration or a Kyrgyz cooking class to your tour package. After dinner, join the group for drinks by the bonfire.
After breakfast we'll head to Tash-Rabat, a 15th century caravanseri that once protected travelers and traders on The Silk Road. Hidden in the mountains of the Tersky Ala Too, surrounded by small yurt camps and the occasional sheep or yak herd, this is the perfect place to get away from it all. When you arrive take time explore the 31 room complex, but keep close count as your go. This destination is shrouded in mystery and legends, including a long running debate on the actual number of rooms in the building. Join your group for a delicious picnic lunch in the shadow of this stunning monument to the past. In the afternoon relax in the yurt camp or take a quiet walk along the Tash Rabat river.
In the morning we'll depart for Kel-suu. This is one of Kyrgyzstan's most remote destinations, but its rapidly growing in popularity as a go-to location for visitors to Naryn. When Kel-suu is full, the glacial melt causes the water to take on a glorious turquoise hue. However, occasionally fissures in the lake bed causes the water to drain into underground caverns, creating an otherworldly atmosphere. Whether or not the lake has water the area offers stunning views and plenty of opportunities to snap some amazing pictures of your Kyrgyzstan adventure. Once we arrive at our yurt camp, we'll saddle up the horses and take the hour-long ride to the shores of Kel-suu. When we're done exploring we'll head back to the yurt camp where we can warm up by the fire with some tea and coffee.
Due to its altitude, Kel-suu can be very cold even in the height of summer. It is not unusual for it to snow during July and August, therefore we recommend you pack warm and prepare for all weather conditions.
Today we'll leave Kel-suu behind and head towards Naryn city. The city was originally home to a small Silk Road fortress and in 1868 the Russians established a small garrison. In 1927, Naryn became the administrative center of the province and has since expanded to be the largest city in the region. On the way to Naryn we'll stop at Shaar Waterfall. This stunning cascade is said to be the highest continuous falls in Central Asia. We''ll ride into the mountains and have a picnic lunch on the shores of the sparkling river. We'll head back out and head to Naryn where you can take time to explore some of the sites around the city. In the evening we'll gather back together for dinner at a local cafe.
Today we return to Bishkek. When we arrive we'll take a walking tour of the main sights of Bishkek head straight to Osh Bazaar for some shopping time. After you finish your souvenir shopping we'll return you to your hotel. End of tour.
