Day of Bishkek City

Today's name of the city – Bishkek – translates as a «stirrer for whipping kumis». The Kyrgyz themselves call the capital of their Republic «Green city» — due to the large number of centuries-old oaks and poplars, and also – thanks to the young spirit of the city and the life seething in it.

Bishkek is the capital and largest city of Kyrgyzstan, locatedat the foothills of the Ala-Too mountain range. The city
combines Soviet-era architecture, modern buildings, and spacious green parks such as Oak Park and Panfilov Park.
The main square, Ala-Too, hosts official events and celebrations.

Bishkek Day is celebrated on April 29, in this regard, the City Administration has prepared a concert program on Ala-Too Square.
